Lance O'Sullivan ONZM - Trainer
The O’Sullivan name is synonymous with excellence in thoroughbred racing.
Hall of Fame member Lance O'Sullivan personified this legacy throughout his illustrious career as a champion jockey. With a record 12 New Zealand premierships, Lance’s success spanned across New Zealand, Australia, Japan, and Hong Kong.
In 2004, Lance transitioned from the saddle to the training track. Just two years later, he celebrated his first Group 1 victory as a trainer with Pentane in the Auckland Cup.
Now, having trained over 600 winners, Lance combines his extensive experience with a hands-on approach to every aspect of training. He is deeply involved in yearling selections and continues to apply his expertise on the track, ensuring that each horse under his care receives the same level of commitment and skill that made him a 12-time champion jockey and Hall of Famer.

Andrew Scott - Trainer
Andrew Scott has trained over 1,000 winners in a career defined by consistency, attention to detail, and Group 1 success. He began his training journey in partnership with fellow Wexford graduate Mike Moroney in the late 1990s. Together at Ballymore Stables, the pair enjoyed a remarkable run — producing 10 Group 1 winners and establishing themselves as a formidable force on both sides of the Tasman.
Their partnership quickly proved to be a winning formula, with the team claiming some of Australasia’s biggest Group 1 races.
Notable victories include multiple wins in the prestigious New Zealand Derby, the Queensland Oaks, the 1,000 Guineas, and the highly coveted Hastings Triple Crown.
