Sam Weatherley - Apprentice Jockey  
Sam has lived and breathed racing his whole life, with both his father and grandfather being jockeys. In his first full season with Wexford, Sam won the New Zealand Apprentice Jockey of the Year at the 2017 New Zealand Thoroughbred Horse of the Year Awards. In 2017, Sam was also named Junior Sportsman of the Year at the Ingham Matamata-Piako District Sports Awards, the only Jockey to be recognised in these awards other than mentor Lance O'Sullivan. Sam hopes to ride in Australia and Hong Kong in the years to come, and Lance has no doubts, quoting- "he has just got it."

Sarah Scott
- Assistant Manager
Sarah is a vital 'team player' for Wexford Stables. The wife of co-trainer Andrew Scott is never far from the stable and is always willing to give a helping hand where needed. Sarah has a deep passion for racing and enjoys watching our horses perform at the highest level. In addition, Sarah's sense of humour brings much light to the Wexford team.  

Caitlin O'Sullivan- Marketing Manager 
With very little choice of being involved within the racing industry, Caitlin has certainly inherited the O'Sullivan passion for racing. Caitlin is currently entering her 4th (and final) year at Waikato University, studying a Bachelor of Management, majoring in marketing and Psychology and putting these skills to use assisting with Wexford's marketing and social media.

Michelle Hayes- Photographer and Loyal Wexford supporter! 
Alongside working for Marks and Ewen vets in Matamata, Michelle possesses a great talent for photography and takes photos both on and off the track for Wexford. This, combined with her passion for horses and the racing industry results in truly special photos that capture moments perfectly. Michelle is a longstanding Wexford supporter, having worked for Paul O'Sullivan before he made his move to Hong Kong, working with top class horses such as 'Gordon's', 'Soap Opera' and 'Kazman'. Additionally, Michelle has owned shares in a number of Wexford horses including her personal favourite and six time winning mare 'Irish Encore.' 

Taiki Yanagida- Apprentice Jockey 
Originally from Matsudo, Japan, Taiki has come to Wexford with the dream of becoming a successful jockey. Taiki has been working hard during track work and riding in trials, polishing his art with the help of mentor Lance and is looking forward to his first race day ride. 

Briar Weatherley- Ground Staff 
After Briar's mother (Lou) and brother (Sam) started working for Wexford, it was only natural that Briar became involved. Briar has always has a great passion for racing, coming from a racing background and is enjoying being so actively involved in the industry through Wexford. Briar is currently is year 11 at Sacred Heart school, however that does not keep her away from the stable, with Briar heading straight to the stable after school to give her favourite horse 'Beauty's Rose' a pat. Briar enjoys the thrills racing brings, saying "its a great team effort in racing and a huge thrill for everyone at Wexford, whether it's winning a maiden race or a group one with Summer Passage." Briar's biggest thrill at Wexford was strapping Piazza on Matamata Cup Day, who won with brother Sam onboard. 

Ellen Osborne- Track Rider and Ground Staff 
Ellen has been actively involved with horses her whole life, however only recently turned her hand to the racing game upon leaving school. Within this time, Ellen has worked within many facets of the racing industry, from breeding to training. Ellen states 'nothing compares to the thrill of seeing a horse win and knowing you had contributed to making that happen. I came to Wexford to learn off two of the best trainers in the country and work with some top class horses.' Ellen is an established track work rider and knowledgable horsewoman whom contributes to the smooth running of Wexford's day-to-day activities. 

Tayla Nawisielski- Ground Staff 
Tayla joined the Wexford team in April 2017 and is an asset to the barn. Tayla says the most rewarding part of her job is watching the horses she's involved with going to the races and performing at the highest level. Tayla's favourite horses in the Wexford barn are Spring Heat and Amazing Banker- both horses we are sure will give Tayla great thrills in upcoming races.
